On December 21, 2021, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and AMSCO solidified a new alliance to accelerate growth, development, and sustainability across the African continent.<\/p>\n

The UNDP, active in 170 countries and territories worldwide (including all Sub-Saharan African nations) has long championed efforts to eradicate poverty, reduce inequality, and build institutional resilience. By partnering with governments and local actors, the UNDP equips communities with policy frameworks, leadership training, and the tools needed to advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).<\/p>\n

With over three decades of experience, AMSCO brings complementary expertise in human capital solutions, working primarily with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that form the backbone of Africa\u2019s economies and societies.<\/p>\n

Signing the memorandum of understanding<\/h4>\n

In a virtual ceremony attended by stakeholders from South Africa, Kenya, and Cameroon, the UNDP Resident Representative\u00a0in South Africa Dr. Ayodele and AMSCO CEO Mr. Yves Alain Epangue formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Marking a significant milestone in their ongoing collaboration, the agreement establishes a clear framework for unleashing joint capabilities and resources in support of Africa\u2019s sustainable development agenda.<\/p>\n

Mobilizing resources for impact<\/h4>\n

Under the terms of the MoU, UNDP and AMSCO will co-design and implement a suite of initiatives spanning several priority areas. Dedicated resources will target SME capacity building, ensuring entrepreneurs gain the management skills and operational know-how to scale their ventures. Parallel efforts will focus on youth and women\u2019s empowerment, equipping these groups with mentorship, training<\/strong><\/a>, and access to networks that foster inclusive economic participation.<\/p>\n

The partnership will also deliver tailored advisory services in enterprise development, human resources consulting, and impact measurement, helping organizations to optimize performance and demonstrate tangible results.<\/p>\n
